Target Audience

Personnel designated as First Aiders who require an internationally recognised qualification.

Aim

To provide delegates with knowledge, understanding and basic skills in First Aid, CPR and AED, so that they can function competently as first-response First Aiders and achieve an internationally recognised qualification.

Upon successful completion of this course the attendee will be able to:

  • Diagnose and provide First Aid (1st Aid) treatment in accordance with AHA and Internationally recognised standards.
  • Diagnose and provide cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with AHA and internationally recognised standards.

NSC First Aid, CPR & AED

Aim

To provide knowledge and skills to meet the changing needs of emergency responders in line with current National Safety Council agreed protocols.

Upon successful completion of this course the attendee will be able to:

  • Understand the Principles of First Aid
  • Recognise an Emergency;
  • Find out what’s wrong; Vital signs
  • Perform adult rescue for Breathing / Choking and CPR
  • Treat bleeding and shock
  • Apply wounds dressing and bandages
  • Administer burns
  • Deal with sudden illnesses
  • Splint the extremities
  • Deal with poisoning, Bites, stings and heat-related emergencies
  • Use appropriate techniques for rescuing and moving victims

First Aid & CPR

Advanced First Responder including CPR/AED

Target Audience

Persons who have a responsibility to administer CPR/AED and to attend an incident as aFirst Responder.

Aim

OTI First Responder program’s primary objective is to improve the continuity of patient care provided throughout Oman for pre-hospital emergencies. Police and fire department personnel are often first on the scene to assist patients prior to arrival of ambulance crews. This course is designed to teach First Responders advanced first aid techniques for sustaining life, preventing further injuries, and caring for illnesses and injuries until the next level of medical personnel arrives.

Upon successful completion of the course students will receive:

OTI First Responder Certification valid for 3 years, CPR and AED certification, The emergency scene, Preventing, Disease Transmission, Human body system, Assessment.

Respiratory emergencies, Airway ventilation, Circulatory emergencies, Bleeding, Shock. Soft tissue injuries, Musculoskeletal injuries, Head and Chest , abdominal and pelvic injuries, Sudden illnesses, Poisoning, Heat and cold related emergencies, Special populations, Childbirth, Crisis intervention, Reaching and moving people

MEDIC First Aid BasicPlus CPR, AED & First Aid for Adults

Target Audience

This course is for all employees who are required to be first aiders in their workplace. It will provide them with the knowledge and skills required to respond to any workplace emergency where first aid treatment is needed. Each Candidate will get a book, a review sheet and International Certification on successfully completion of the course assessments.

Aim

To provide certified training in all Basic First Aid BasicPlus, CPR, AED in all first aid emergency circumstances in the workplace.

Target Audience

This course is for all employees who are required to have CPR and AED training in their workplace.

Aim

The HABC Level 3 International Award in First Aid at Work and The Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator is a qualification aimed at providing candidates with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to support first aid and the safe use of a defibrillator in the workplace. This qualification is accredited and recognised internationally.

Upon successful completion of this course the candidate will be able to:

  • To meet the requirements of the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (QCF). Develop the knowledge, practical skills to perform CPR on an adult.
  • To respond to a cardiac arrest in the workplace o in the community.
